Sweet dark caramel nose. Lots of dark sweetness, like prunes, dried fruit, and rum raisens. Almost nutmeg spice to it. Alcohol is a stong undercurrent, but not the dominent sensation. Thought that this one would help me break my standard St. Paddy's day outing. Very nice brown - ruby tinged with with light. Low carbonation. Soft to the pallet, sweet, but not cloying in the least. I have no idea if this is fresh or aged as theres no date (haltbar bis: ?) I find the alcohol very well hidden. Fruity - (dates) and chocolate. VERY enjoyable. Thanks to Pivo ever so much. Dark brown pour while visions of plums and candied fruit dance around your nose and on your tongue. Very thick mouthfeel with a slight nod to the alcohol. A very earthy ancient port?
