A deep mahogony color with a light tan head that left some fair lacing. A chocolatey start that gives way to dried fruits(rasins and plums) mixed with some bitterness. The alcohol wasnt hidden all that well and there was a chalky overtone to the whole thing. It was good, but I didn’t like it as much as others have. Steib (578), Queen Creek, Arizona, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 15, 2006 wow, that’s a deep deep brown with intense aromas of caramel and brown sugar/molasses, and peat and bubble-gummy sweetness. very excellent - the flavors are extraordinarily balanced and smooth for 9.2% and despite the high alcohol content there is not any hotness or burn. not to mention it has a cool holographic label! | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 4, 2005 Pours dark dark brown, small, offwhite head. Constant tiny bubbles. Sweet, toffee aroma and flavor and some molasses or darker sugar also. Smokier towards the finish. Also, pretty dry finish. Lots of alcohol warms your gullet as it goes down. This stuff does remind me of the Celebrator Dopplebock, perhaps with less depth of flavor.
