MrRoss (614), Delta, British Columbia, Canada Jul 16, 2009 From the moment the cap came off the bottle, I declared "good nose"; very hopped bitterness was immediate. The head was foamy, white, and somewhat lively, producing somw of the nicest lacing I’ve seen in a while. Colour was a clear gold. Both taste and aftertaste were crisp, clean, and just the right amount of bitterness. JohnnyJ (1282), Carlsbad, California, USA Jul 11, 2009 Bottle. Medium yellow pour. Malt, hay, grass, light sweetness, and some funkiness. Notes ogf bread. It’s okay, pretty uninteresting. Vertical Bacon Strips (874), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Jun 23, 2009 ***review from Jan 7, 2008*** Yum yum. I gotta say, I do like this style even though it’s pretty much boring but none the less this is an enjoyable beer albeit a forgettable one. Poured out a light yellow gold brew with a pretty good white crown and a good ammount of messy lacing. The aroma consists pretty much of mild hops and milder malts. The taste is a little more defined as the hops jump out first with some chewy grainy malts to follow. Comes across with a weak but tart middle. Light medium bodied, closer to medium actually. Pretty smooth with ample carbonation and a nice lengthy mild bitter finish. Odd, I can almost get more smell out of my empty glass. Enjoyed this and will probably get again to compare against DAB or just to use as the summer "I just wanted a beer" beer. Cirrhosis (610), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Jun 11, 2009 "Extreme clear dark gold in fact it’s so clear it’s almost completely devoid of all color a very noisy thick white cap rests on top of this brew, looks ok but boring. What an interesting stink I have never come across stink like this before, composting grass clippings, corn, and barnyard possibly, luckily this is very mild or this would have been just vile. Rotten old tasting malts that have egg yolk like qualities there is a touch of hops and I think I’m getting a touch of lemon in the after taste. I guess this is drinkable but I just don’t like this style"
johndoughty (2150), cheslyn hay, West Midlands, England May 28, 2009 Bottle. Golden with a medium head.Left some lacing and was quite creamy
pleasant but uninspiring. Maria (6056), Thisted, Denmark May 9, 2009 It is golden with a white head. The aroma has notes of malt and straw. The flavour has a light sweetness and notes of malt and straw. It is cold, wet and drinkable, but ordinary. fonefan (10868), VestJylland, Denmark Apr 1, 2009 Bottle 33cl. @ home. Clear light to medium yellow orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, grain, hay, toasted, sugar, bread notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light metalic. [20090111] yespr (11645), Copenhagen O, Denmark Sep 18, 2008 50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow with a white head. Mild fruity and cornish aroma. Flavour starts mild fruity and is followed by a more bitter and slight spiced hops flavour. Goes into a bitter and dry finish. Clean and classic.
