Not really that good a beer. The overall impression is far too alcholic for my liking. Does not rank well among other Festbiers I´ve tasted.

500ml bottle (alko)
Drunk at contents-of-backpack temperature, but as you’ll see, that didn’t negatively impact on things at all. Golden, fizzy and frothy head. Very malty aroma for a lager. Good full-bodied taste, very malty for a lager. Really pleasant kick - no pansy lightweight lager. Sweet, moderately hoppy, and loads of malt, all in really good balance. Amazingly, the head itself was really tasty. We’d swirl the bottle just to get a knob of head to poke out, and ’eat’ it like ice cream!

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a lacing white head. Light spiced and breadish dry malt aroma. Flavour follows this closely and seems like fluid bread on a bottle. Light spiced and with a growing bitterness towards the finish. Ends dry and linger caramel malt which remains from the malt flavours, nicely mixed with a dry bitterness.

50cl bottle, bbe 18/09/08. Pours a clear, solid straw-gold hue with a large --but quickly diminishing-- foamy white head and champagne like carbonation. Soft, balanced aroma of pils malt and grassy hops, the grassy-ness being both of the wet and dry variety. Light hay and white bread underneath, also a bit leafy. Flavour is bready sweet mostly with a dry yeastiness going into a thin, but crisp, bitterness. The body feels a bit weighty for the aroma and flavour, is a little on the sticky side and has tingling carbonation.

Bottle 0.5 l. Golden with a smallish head. Nose is malty and a bit buttery hoppy. Flavor is strongly malty, slightly buttery hoppy, but only a little bitter. Some flowery and honeyish tones. Covers the palate with honey and butter.

Warm golden with a nice head. The aroma has light sweetness, notes of malt, a bit of straw and weak hints of floral hops. The flavour has a light sweetness, notes of malt, straw, flower and a very light bitterness.

The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Strong aroma. Starts alcoholic and strong, the finish definitely too alcoholic. An average beer.
