Ungstrup (11343), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 17, 2004 A red-brown beer with a light brown head. The aroma is sweet with notes of coriander and parmesancheese. The flavor is creamy and sweet with notes of roasted bread with the parmesancheese in the background and a dry chocolate end. omhper (10728), Stockholm, Sweden Sep 19, 2003 Bottled. Very dark brown with beige head. Intensely roasty nose. Softly malty with some salty licorice and average bitterness. Papsoe (10264), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 10, 2005 Updated: Oct 14, 2005(Bottle 50 cl) Pitch black with a reddish hue and a nice, brownish head. Very dry example of the style, roasted almost burned malt flavours adding to the marked and very long bitterness. Not really for me. 061201 and 020105 Oakes (6966), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Aug 28, 2001 Smooth dark malt palate is impressive - not as assertive or dry as other schwarzbiers, but an exercise in subtlety and style. oh6gdx (6331), Vaasa, Finland Mar 12, 2005 Dark amber colour, huge white head and everlasting lacing. Soft roasted malt in the pretty weak aroma. Taste consists of roasted malt and a bit of chocolate in the finish. Very wellbalanced.
