Bottle. Moderate malty, dark cookies, molasses, earth. Red body, average head, white-off-white and creamy. The starting flavour is light sweet, finish is moderate sweet. Average duration. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. A very filling beer.

500 ml bottle. Dark amber colour. Medium-sized white head. Rich malty aroma with a distinct hop character. A bit watery and thin at first, then some sourish malt flavours. The hops seem to have a souring effect on the beer. Boring and way too bland to be interesting.

500ml bottle. Rich reddy brown. Rather non-descript sweet sticky malty aroma, reminiscent of chocolate but without the actual chocolate. However, I had to fight to get much of an aroma, so could have been hyperventilating and hallucinating. Taste echos the aroma initially - reminiscent of not chocolate, but kamatahvel! Flavour builds in the mouth, but alas turns alcoholic. After swallowing the nuts get released, and I mean NUTS! Walnuts - including the papery bits. Fairly tasty, but spoilt by the vapours.

(500ml bottle) Nutty, malty aroma. Amber brown appearance with head like velvet. Bitter taste with a hint of malt and nuts. Balanced, but a bit pointy taste. A nice bock.

Mørk gylden øl. Sød og maltet i smagen- Duft ? God nem drikkelig øl. Ikke så kraftig som andre mørke dobbeltbocks.

0,5 l bottle at Den Gode Nabo, Trondheim. Rather mild, you don’t feel the strength in this. On the sweet side, a quite fine bock.

Bottle. Clear amber color with a average fizzy fair lacing off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, grain, maltsweet. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light metalic.
