| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 23, 2007 Updated: Jan 28, 2009500 ml. Hazy copper with a medium-sized lasting head. Spicy hay, rye, and sweet corn nose. Well-balanced flavor seems at first to be nutty malt and sweet corn, but then is vanquished by herby-woody hops and dry-rye and yeast flavors. The battle continues back and forth throughout each swig and the entire glass. Even the malty aftertaste is balanced well by the drying finish of the hops. Palate is creamy smooth and light-medium, with a light dry-bitter finish. jimhilt (1680), Bow, New Hampshire, USA
