Commercial Description:
The naturally-cloudy Mönchshof Kellar beer is the result of Mönchshof's centuries-long brewing tradition and of the love of traditional beer brewing. This amber color, mild beer appeals to lovers of unfiltered beer, the way it used to be. A tradional Mönchshof beer specialty.

Bottle. Poured clear amber color unitl sediment stirred intentionally (this beer flew back form Germany and sat in fridge for 6 months). Average sized head. A toffee-like aroma with hints of yeast and grain. Flavor is malty well balnced, simliar to a bitter or not so malty marzen. Decent.

Bottled: Fresh yeasty aroma, sweet and malty. Nice creamy/foamy head. Orange to light amber color. Fresh grainy flavor, yeasty, light sweet. Light caramel notes, malt and some citrus fruit notes. Some roasted malt, grassy and citrus hops in the end. Dry, light bitter end.

Poured from a 16.9 oz bottle, this Keller is possibly one of the most ’drinkable’ lagers ever produced. sweet caramel malt, subtle natural carbonation and the complete lack of any bitterness means you’ll finish this sweet cloudy apricot concoction far quicker than you’d imagine. It’s definitely worth a try if you’ve never had one!

Pours amber/red with medium long-lasting head. Aromas are huge of caramel malt, very potent caramel malt. Reminds me of a really potent ESB. Flavor dry but still pretty round. No bitterness in the finish at all.

500 ml bottle from Bevmo. My bottle reads "Kellerbrau." Pours a hazy orange-brown, with an off-white head that receded to 1/8 inch and held. Aroma was faint with wood, dust, and some sweet malts. The flavor is a bit unusual with earthy malts, light cloves, and rye grain. The mouthfeel is a bit thin up front, but develops into a pasty finish. Overall: an interesting beer--not sure if I would recommend it just yet.

Hazy gold brown color. Soapy head. Aroma is sweet and bready. Flavor is malty with bready and light fruity notes. I got some vanilla? Earthy bitter finish, but not too strong. Kind of dull and dusty mouthfeel. Full bodied and filling.

Bottle from BevMo. Pours a hazy amber/orange color with a nice sized head. Slightly sweet aroma. Almost bockish. Some root-like qualities. Swwet malty flavors up front. Pretty full bodied. Some graininess. Pretty enjoyable beer for a fall day.
