Commercial Description:
The naturally-cloudy Mönchshof Kellar beer is the result of Mönchshof's centuries-long brewing tradition and of the love of traditional beer brewing. This amber color, mild beer appeals to lovers of unfiltered beer, the way it used to be. A tradional Mönchshof beer specialty.

Draught: Poured a hazxy yellow with a fluffy white head. Aroma was citrus and earthy. Taste was bitter refreshing with some smooth maltiness in the end.

Bottle at the train station. Light dull tan. Slight haze. Slightly sulphury, herbal aroma. Herbal bitterness and light cookieish malts. Slight yeast note. Not great, but perfectly drinkable.

Pours hazy dark orangey yellow with a fluffy off-white head, good retention. Citric lemon aroma, followed by a maltiness that reminds me of honey and caramel. Bready malt and yeast flavours with a really nice creamy mouthfeel - smooth and quaffable. It’s rather on the sweet side, but still well balanced by a subdued bitterness. A touch oily, but definitely a great all-round summer beer!

500 ml bottle. From Germany. Hazy dark amber colour with medium-size off-white head. Weak malty aroma with some caramel and nutty notes. Slightly roasted malts, hints of nuts but also touch of wet cardboard and finishing with some hoppy bitterness.

Bottle. Light golden with slight haze and nice level of carbonation. Aroma has an ever so slight touch of pedio. High carbonation. Grainy mouthfeel. Sweet, yeasty. Some thickness. Has a nice toasted malt dry finish.
