Commercial Description:
The naturally-cloudy Mönchshof Kellar beer is the result of Mönchshof's centuries-long brewing tradition and of the love of traditional beer brewing. This amber color, mild beer appeals to lovers of unfiltered beer, the way it used to be. A tradional Mönchshof beer specialty.

1 pt. 9 oz. flip top bottle. Faintly hazy amber with a medium, but fairly durable head and some nice lace. Toasty grain, biscuit, and a distant roasted nuttiness. Medium body, and a very gentle effervescence match up well to yield a satisfying mouthfeel, not sticky nor particularly dry either. Solid malty flavor up front, but not overly sweet, followed by a subtle, spicy bitterness at the finish. Very drinkable, enjoyable brew in a style that is not often seen.

Clear amber with a thin tan head; must have been filtered for the american market. Has a yeasty, nutty aroma. Smooth medium body. Mild roasty, nutty flavors with a clean finish. Not too bad.

Flip top bomber size bottle. Dirty water looking beer that is browner than hefe but just as cloudy. Sediment makes for a swirling pour. Not too bitter on the first taste. Rather mild, a more enjoyable zwickle. Good clean aroma. Nice lacing. Taste is cool, clean and enjoyable. Some malt extracts build a personality on the back of the throat but nothing over the top. Friendly overall. Good foreign beer, decent and well behaved. Good old country experience.

Swing-top bottle. Pours a hazy nut brown with a medium to large light beige head. Lots of grain, and some sweet malt, with a bit of hops. Slightly sweet, malty, and a touch of nuttiness. Light lager style finish, but not super grainy. Decent, but nothing fantastic.
