Commercial Description:
The naturally-cloudy Mönchshof Kellar beer is the result of Mönchshof's centuries-long brewing tradition and of the love of traditional beer brewing. This amber color, mild beer appeals to lovers of unfiltered beer, the way it used to be. A tradional Mönchshof beer specialty.

bottle. Hazy chestnut-coloured beer with a mid-sized head. Malty nose. Malty, hints of caramel and fruit with a light touch of yeastyness. Pleasantly hoppy. Mild but pleasant.

Bottel 500 ml. A bit dark caramel unclear apperance. Some malt aroma, nuts and some sence of caramel when you drink it. My first kellerbier.

Hazy golden with a small white head. Bready malt aroma with a little herbal hop. Crisp malty flavour in a rather dry beer with just enough bitterness. Great medium full mouthfeel and soft carbonation

Draught at TND: Aroma of vegetables, herbs, malt, and must. Poured amber/brown in color with a small, off-white head that lasted throughout. Sparkling. Hazy. Flavor is slightly sweet and slightly bitter. Tastes of vegetables, herbs, ’Keller’ flavor, and malts. Medium body. Moderately dry texture. Average carbonation. Malty, vegetable finish is dry.

Poured a nice clean amber. No carbonation and a large, foamy, offwhite head. Nice malty nose. Way better than I would have expected.

Poured slightly hazy amber with substantial snow white coloured head. Aromas of biscuity malt, with some honey and over-riding grassy hops. Palate translates much of the same, some feintly sweet malt early on before hops kick in. Clean and crisp, but wouldn’t go crazy over it!

Bottled, 500ml swing top, from Real Supermarket, Bamberg. Hazed amber with white head. Another perfectly decent beer, slightly richer in caramel malts this time with a touch of sweetness, honeyed with just a background grassy hop. Lasts well, nice easy drinking, a good beer.

Aroma: nice malty light hopped beer. Appearance: hazy orange amber with a good head that quickly dissipates. Flavour: loads of malt like a malt milk drink. Palate: gently carbonated but just enough.
