The aroma is near medium malty, light to medium hoppy and tiny yeasty with notes of bread, straw, dough, grass, light wood/earth/soil/mild resin, light herbal, white roses and light bitter nut shells alongside a tiny touch of sweet, honey-like caramel maltiness and some cabbage. The undertones bring hints of menthol and mint. The flavour is light to medium malty and medium hoppy with tones of grass, earth, light herbs, light dark bread, light yeast and maybe some honey like caramel hints alongside a whisper of cabbage. The mouthfeel is light soft and juicy with a light to medium dry and crisp finish. Light to medium sweet and light to medium bitter. Medium bodied. TaxiDriver (941), Stadland, Germany

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Jul 27, 2008 Dark brown pour with a nice head. A bit of cool copper vegetal sweetness in the nose precedes a great body and flavor upon drinking, with perfectly balanced german malts and hops. Terrifically easy drinking. A very solid beer, it’s a shame I only had this for the first time now. Would recommend as a very early beer to drink for any wannabe beer geek. Shows off German brewing very well. asheft (1437), Marburg, Germany

Slightly sour, but nice fresh hops and some yeasty smell like fresh from a fermentor. Cloudy, orangish light brown with a nice white cover that lasts and clings to the glass. A tinge of sourness tarnishes this otherwise very nice brew: sweet and smooth caramelly malt together with some soft lotus root and appropriately moderate bitterness. Medium body, a bit tangy but not mouth puckering, moderate carbonation. ekstedt (2440), Göteborg, Sweden

Shady amber, large off-white head. Bready and slightly caramelly with herbal and floral hops. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Well balanced with a mild bitterness. Very tasty. 17thfloor (1492), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 10, 2008 Pours a murky orangish brown with a nice thick creamy beige head. Sweet caramel malt aroma followed by lots of grassy hay. Flavor follows as expected... sweet rich caramel, doughy, with a grassy bite. Unfortunately... as expected from Mochshof... there isn’t much of a finish besides a slight lingering raisin sweetness. Medium/light body with sizzling fine carbonation. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 2, 2008 Swing top bottle. A lightly hazy pale amber beer with a rich and quite persistent white head. The aroma is lovely malty, quite sweet but with a good dose of hops. Some caramel and bread notes. The flavour has a balanced sweetness, tasty bready malty notes and some hops. Nice medium body, average carbonation, medium long finish with medium bitterness. Tasty.
