Commercial Description:
The naturally-cloudy Mönchshof Kellar beer is the result of Mönchshof's centuries-long brewing tradition and of the love of traditional beer brewing. This amber color, mild beer appeals to lovers of unfiltered beer, the way it used to be. A tradional Mönchshof beer specialty.

A pale brown beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is of caramel and straw. The flavor is sweet and again with notes of caramel and straw, leading to an OK hoppy end.

(Bottle 50 cl) Slightly hazy amber with a decent, creamy and white head. Malty aroma - lager style. Sweetish malty with a dry, lightly sulphurous finish. 251205

50 cL bottle. Pours slight hazy orange with a dense off-white head. A bit dusty grassy and hay aroma, dry and a minor floral note. Sweet flavour, quite simple. Goes into a somewhat bitter finish. Very minor mouldy note to an otherwise clean and simple brew. Nice.

Bottled. Hazy bronze colour, average head. Grassy, lightly yeasty nose. Dry with well rounded mouthfeel and fairly solid body. Grassy hops takes the foremost place. Doughy malt and yeast backs up. Finishing dry and salty.

Bottle. Grass/hay aroma. Almost clear greyish brown colour. Stable head. Starts off a little vinous, but turns more bitter. The bitterness is slightly rough and sour. Carbonation is above medium but still rather pleasant.

Draught. Nut brown colour with foamy longlasting head, lacing. Weak malty nose with weak hints of vegetables. Malty flavour with hints of vegetables (or atleast kind of "soapish"). Weak caramel and hops in finish. Also a bit of roast in as "sideflavour". Pretty watery palate.
