Rich, pure lovely malty goodness on the nose. There is a warmth to the malt that I’ve rarely encountered. Absolutely captivating.
Medium full in the mouth. Again, intense, pure malt flavors dominate. There’s some mineral supporting, and some bitterness keeping it in check, but this is all about the malt. Such a gorgeous balancing act.
Very low carbonation gives a velvety impression as the malt seeps into every corner of your mouth. I could drink this beer forever. Yeggo (37), USA

It’s definitely worth a try if you’ve never had one! drpimento (851), La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA

As soon as I popped the swing-top cap I could smell caramel. Upon tasting my first sip the distinct caramel character gave way to caramel malt balanced with hop. Nice beer. Not heavy character, but a beer that a person could develop a fondness for. Got it as a sample of a beer soon to be stocked at Bodega downtown La Crosse. puzzl (2647), New York, New York, USA

A bit of cool copper vegetal sweetness in the nose precedes a great body and flavor upon drinking, with perfectly balanced german malts and hops. Terrifically easy drinking. A very solid beer, it’s a shame I only had this for the first time now. Would recommend as a very early beer to drink for any wannabe beer geek. Shows off German brewing very well. thornecb (1801), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA

Pours a beautiful copper color. Very pleasing to the eye. I enjoy watching this bier settle. Nice thick foamy head. No overpowering taste. Hints of honey, caramel, and malt. A solid showing from our friends in Kulmbach and I wish this style was popular in the states. A good bier and a great style.
