Kulmbacher Mönchshof Lager

Clear golden body with a medium to thick white head. Good lacing. I might of got a bad bottle of this one. A bit sour and on the verge of going bad. Smell was only average of hops and minimal malty notes. I will try this one again when I get the chance.

(bottle) pours a clear yellow colour with a frothy white head. aroma of smooth, honey-tinged pale malts and light herbal hops. flavour is the same, with a bit of cardboardy grain. palate is a tad watery, medium carbonation.

Bottled flip-top (Beerangel, BB 12/2009). Clear yellow color, small white head. Nose has everything: grassy hops, sweet maltyness, cardboard, butter and metal. Reasonably malty, but palate is very weak. Clean, but not much flavors: light sweet malts and grassy hops. Weak lime note. Thirst quencher.

Get it from Firenze by paying 5 euro for a bottle. Well golden colour with middle head. Some malty and some hoppy better than other lagers i tasted over here.

Bottled (from beerangel.de). Golden colour, mediumsized white fluffy head. Aroma is malts, hops, some slight earthy notes. Flavour is rather sweet hops, some fruity and floral hops along with some wooden and earthy notes. A nice twist from the norm Dortmunder/Helles in the flavour. Very refreshing and drinkable.

Bottle. Light malty aroma of bread, light sweet. Medium white fizzy foamy head, normal long lasting. The body is in a dark yellow orange. The taste is light sour, bitter and malty, quite refreshing. Normal carbonation, rather soft with a dry and creamy texture.
