Commercial Description:
Our Mönchshof Lager is pale and dry, a beer for the discerning beer connoisseur. This traditional beer wins over beer drinkers due to its noble and refreshing taste. The name lager comes from the German word for store-room, and lager beers are created by cold fermentation conditions and long storage times, which guarantee their perfect ripeness. This fine-spicy beer offers refreshment for every occasion and all year-round

Bottle. Sweet grainy aroma. Golden yellow with moderate collapsing head. Slightly acidic sweet grain and hops flavor. Typical German lager - not so good.

Comes with a very un German label which made me think it might just be another bottle of Euro-Fizz.It turned out to be better than this. Its rather malty with hops in the background. Not bad but on the other not good either.

Bottle, from shop at Nürnberg Hauptbahnhof. Straw gold, good fluffy white head and moderate condition. Gentle pilsner hoppiness and low malt in the nose, soft and hoppy in the mouth and a restrained bitterness in the short finish.

A yellow beer with a nice off-white head. The aroma is slightly hoppy and slightly malty. The flavor is malty with hints of wheat?!? and the body is thin. Boring.

Bottle. Pretty bland, but very drinkable. Lightly sweet bready type malts, very clean mouthfeel, lightly grassy. Not much to write about, its just one of those very easy drinkable German lagers.
