Commercial Description:
Our gold-yellow Mönchshof Country Beer impresses by its recipe. The finest spicy hops produce its full-bodied aroma. Its aromatic malt flavor comes from noble summer barley. Special proprietary yeast and the soft water, ideal for brewing, from the pristine springs of the Fichtelgebirge add to its traditional export beer character. A real pleasure.

Bottled. Pale golden coloured beer with a sweetish, quite malty nose. The taste is crisp and fresh, again more malty than hoppy. An easy drinker but not outstanding.

Pours pale golden with a mid-sized, lacing, fluffy white head; sweet malts, a tinge of cardboard and shy traces of hops in the nose; mild malty-bitter flavour; very soft malty aftertaste with a good touch of bitterness. A light and pleasant summer-beer.

Bottle@Home, Jun 05, 2.9: Light herbal aroma that becomes grainy when warming up. Pale golden color, white head, good lace. Light sweet, light bitter, light herbal, grains, finish is quite bitter, light, bit dry. Very straighforward beer.

Yellow with a big head that soon dissapeared.Dry and well balanced -something different without being too over the top.

(swing top bottle) Pale yellow colour with a thick white foam and nice lacing. Malty aroma with hoppy elements and a touch of citrus. Slight sweet flavour with a well blended malty start and a nice but also short medium bitter & dry hoppy finish. Quite acceptable.

Bottled. Dense and adherent foam, discreet persistence. Yellow pale color, limpid and enough shining. Medium scent, much spiced and with determined malt notes. Herbaceous. Pungent and medium fizz taste. A pleasant mix between pilsener and german hefe.

Bottle. Bready aroma. Clear golden colour, unstable head. Malty flavour, low bitterness. Cream-like aftertaste.
