Commercial Description:
Our gold-yellow Mönchshof Country Beer impresses by its recipe. The finest spicy hops produce its full-bodied aroma. Its aromatic malt flavor comes from noble summer barley. Special proprietary yeast and the soft water, ideal for brewing, from the pristine springs of the Fichtelgebirge add to its traditional export beer character. A real pleasure.

(Bottle 50 cl) Golden, clear, not much of a head. Very soft, lots of sweet malt, good quality hops and a limited bitterness. 050305

Golden with a white bubbly head. Aromas are sweet buttery grain with mellow citrus and sulphur-like "pong". Flavours are biscuit malts with sweet lemon. Buttery smooth on the palate. Not bad.

Dark golden colour with white head. Sweet and malty aroma with some hay. Flavor is malty again with some hay. Slightly bitter finish.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Very pale gold, with a soft, inviting, cloud-like white head. Smells very sweet, with light cereal. Pretty good mouthfeel: mushy flavours of malt and wheat and a bitter finish to a predominantly sweet beer. I’m confused about Lanbiers - this seemed more like a Helles or a Kolsch - the previous one I sampled was dark brown. I treat this as a quality Pils-type lagered product.

Bottle
Straw malt aroma with a hint hop freshness. Pale straw, foamy lacing head. Straw flavors, some hop bitterness - not great. Light pearling mouthfeel.

bottled. straw colour. honeyed hay aroma and pleasant peach and tin flavours. rounded and pleasant. some passonfruit in the finish. it’s just a shame that the first few kellerbiers i had were in bamberg and were extremely tasty and most of the ones i have tried since have seemed a bit muted in comparison

Bottle. Pale golden colour with short lived white head. Aroma is sweet and straw. Quite interesting taste; grassy, hoppy and a light sweetness. Crisp and refreshing. Good stuff.

Pours a fine though disappearing white head on a clear golden body. Mild grainy aroma with fruit tones. Young in the flavor, grain and malt with some citrus in the finish. Not very full.
