Kulmbacher Mönchshof Original Pils

Bottle. Sweet, flowery barley malt aroma. Light yellow color with moderate head. Barley malt and moderate grassy hops flavor. Nice but pretty average.

Bottle. Light golden color, clear, with a tall fine foamy head. Fragrant aroma of hops, malt, fruit, and flowers. Quite strongly malty, a bit sweet. Medium body and full mouthfeel, well carbonated. A full malty taste, with a bit of sweetness, and good hop character. Fruity and good. Decent bitter hop aftertaste lingers quite a while. A good beer, not as complex as the best pils, but very decent.

Bottle at the brewery museum, Kulmbach. Warm golden, thick white head. Bright, clean hops and sweet cereal grain aromas. Clean and quaffable brew. Silky soft palate. Low carbonation. Slight stickiness at the finish. Very dry and clean, though. Pretty good balance, has a good bitterness that balances the sweet grain and finishes off-dry. Quite nice.

Golden and sparkly. Balanced nose is spicy with light pale malts. Herbal and earthy with good bitterness. Not bad balance.

Fairly standard Euro pils here but mostly serviceable. Grainy nose with bisquiry old malts. Palate is mostly the same nd has a lemon / citrus streak running through the middle; neither here nor there. Nothing outstanding but ok.

bottle - yellow golden beer with a white head. Aroma has some hay but is a little bit skunky. Flavour is malty and crisp, some grain.

Pretty decent aroma. Lots of head, light yellow color. This is a simple light dry pils, with an even drier finish that has a hint of malt and sweetness.

Clear golden with a medium white short lasting head. Aroma was somehat malty with grains and hints of caramel. Flavour was malty with caramel notes. Mild bitternes towards the end.
