This is a dark, strong beer, but with a very smooth body and a sweet aroma. I like it a lot.

deep mahogany with a dense tan head. Slight malt aroma. taste is light for such a dark beer. hints of malt or caramel. sharp hoppness in the end. A dark pilsner makes for a nice beginning of fall change.

Dark brown modest head with some lacings. Aroma is toffee. Taste is a black Pils for sure. There is a bit of a "tang" to the taste which sets this apart from just a good Pils that happens to be black. I could drink a lot of these! Very nice beer.

500ml bottle. Light tan head, very dark copper colour, almost black. Sweet roasted malts aroma with toffee. Flavor is sweet with roasted malts, banana and chocolate. Little bit too sweet for me.

Deep red body, thats looks black, with a light tan head and plenty of lacing. Taste is light chocolate with coffee and some dried fruit. Drank better as it warmed up, expected a bit more roasted bitterness but still drank alright.

...bottle. Poured an evil looking dark reddish brown, with good carbonation, and a big and fluffy tan head that lasted, with great lacing. Aromas were of roasted malt, slight hops, and dark fruit. Flavors were predomanately roasted grains, hints of caramel, roasted nuts, and dark malt. Mouthfeel was medium bodied, easy drinking with a smooth but lively texture. Finished dry, with a nice roasted malt aftertaste, with subtle bittering hops. Well balanced, good brew worth trying. Let the schwarz be in you.

Bottle. Nice, malty aroma. Flavor is...oh goodness. Warm and roasty. Good malty flavor. Dry, and smooth. Woodsy notes. Delicious.

(Bottle). Clean semi-sweet malt aroma. Dark reddish brown with huge light tan head. Flavor combines roastiness and semi-sweet malt, along with some nuttiness. Very nice lingering finish. Excellent.
