| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 24, 2008 This beer’s aroma is clearly it’s best quality. When it hits the right temp, notes of fruit, scorched chocolate, light smoke and chicory coffee really shine. Appearance has a deep brown body, damned near black, with a frothy, sea foamy 3-finger thick head. Soft notes of coffee and chocolate are there, as well as some fruity notes with a touch of yeast. Enjoyable schwarzbier, but nothing exceptional. Rciesla (3645), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA

Aroma of sweet raisins and yea I can actually smell a tad of pamesan Ungstrup speaks of. Full creamy mouthful, subtle carbonation, very milky. Raisins, creamy chocolate, roast, half&half creamer, and a touch of caramel in the flavor. Maybe some light smoke as well. I do taste some pumpernickel. Pretty dry.
