| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Apr 28, 2008 On tap at HopLeaf Pours a clear dark copperish color with light lacing and head. Smell is like band-aids and malt. Taste is roasty but very thin and watery. Almost old and stale tasting. Just a mess. Wouldn’t recommend this based on my sample of this beer at all. Well worth what you spend on it. TET (238), Finland
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 11, 2008 Beautiful, dark red-brown colour and medium beige head. Aroma is roasted, slightly sour and also chocolate is found. Flavour is quite dry, nicely roasted and some hops is found in the end. Carbonation is balanced but body is slightly too slim. There is not any glorious nuancee but on the other hand there are not much to complain. janir (215), Oulu, Finland
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 10, 2008 Deep ruby-brown. Beige head and very nice and big lacing. Aromas are roasted malts, dark chocolate and a bit of ashy. Flavors are same but aftertaste is sweet and beer leaves somewhat milk beer -like mouthfeel. A bit of hoppyness in the ending also. Medium-bodied and little bit sticky in the end. Enjoyable beer, especially for dessert. Duff53 (22), USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 26, 2008 Bottle, nice dark malts some chocolate and chalk, no real hops to speak of but not a bad brew at all. Pours nice and dark with a tan head easy drinker no doubt. Gregis (1132), Shawnee, Kansas, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 23, 2008 Pours burgundy with a dense, beige head that leaves behind sticky lace. The aroma is chocolaty, sweet bread dough, much like chocolate devils food donuts with sweet fruity malt in the background (similar notes to some doppelbocks that I’ve sampled). Medium-bodied but fairly thin with a silky mouthfeel and a roasted, mildly bitter finish. Cocoa, coffee and roasted malt with a dry, earthy hop finish. This is a nice beer; worth trying if you enjoy this style.
