Pours a deep brown with a wonderful amber coming thru when held up to light. A swiftly diminishing head settles rapidly to a thin fildm expected withthis style. Some residual wavy legs at start, a good sign. A robust caramel nose that is lightly interspersed with hops. Body is medium with gentle maltiness th a hint of peat. Mouthfeel is quick and light malts are surrounded by whole leaf hopsand overhadow the quick body and fade gently after a few moments leaving the tip of your tounge tingling. An above average Schwarzbier. No chalkiness. many thanks to Robert and Slob! MrRain (439), O’Fallon, Illinois, USA

It looks like a thin porter. The head is medium and rocky. The lacing is looks like ice cream. The aroma contains chocolate-covered cherries, tea, chocolate and rocks. The body is medium to medium-heavy slightly oily. The flavor is mildly chocolately but is mostly a nicely roasted malt flavor. This is a pretty darned good example of a schwarzbier. Smooth sweetness with dark chocolate and coffee notes. A bit thin in body, but that leaves room for a second glass. Very delicious beer.
