Aroma is earthy, musty, smoky chocolate molasses. Initial flavor of smoked corn on the cob gives way to caramel, dark roasted walnut, slight black pepper and sourish, smoky, chocolate cherry. Medium body is mostly smooth, with an earthy-dry finish. Maria (6312), Thisted, Denmark
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 16, 2007 Very dark brown, transparent, with a huge, beige head. The aroma is weak, slightly sweet. The flavour is typical for a schwartzbier, very malty, mostly roasted malt, caramel, sweetness and weak notes of coffee and chocolate. It has an OK bitterness and it’s quite nice. It smells like really good coffee and dark chocolate flavors, such as you would find in a sweet european chocolate with french coffee.
Tastes almost like a coffee stout, but lighter. Has an aftertaste like I’ve just chewed on a coffee bean, not strong, but apparent. Tastes malty, but with only a slight hint of hops at first taste.
Feels like a light beer in your mouth and goes down farel well. ghawener (964), San Salvador, El Salvador

Very dark brown with an extremely big brown head. Nice aroma of roasted nuts and something smoked (might have been from the outside fireplace where i drank it). Flavor is medium sweet with plenty notes of roastyness and toasted bread, soft mouthfull, enjoyable.
