Flippy-flop bottle and what a pop as I opened it. Pours a clear deep red-brown colour with a nice creamy light brown well lasting head. Sweet aroma with grains, roasted malt, caramel and some sourness. Ok mouthfeel. Roasty maltines,s grains and caramel in the flavour with some dark fruits, dark bread and hops. Grainy roasty finish.

(Bottle, Stockholm Beer Festival, 22 Sep 2007) Dark reddish brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty nose with notes of roasted grain, wild berries and chocolate. Malty, roasted taste with chocolate, dark fruit, wild berries and dark rye bread. Smooth mouthfeel, easy to drink, but doesn’t really leave a lasting impression.

Flip-top bottle. Poured an amber brown with a medium head that quickly dissipated. Smells sweet, but the flavor was surprisingly dry. Pretty good.

Had this at the Bier Stube in Moline-pours with a nice head, sweet, malty, some hops, bit of roast, a little thin but is supremely drinkable like the commercial description claims

After buying these for months I finally found one that had not set on the shelf for months and guess what...its good. Far from the best schwarzbier but it is available.

Bottle. Pours a near black with a nice white frothy head. The taste is quite hoppy with a nice burnt malt. Thin and easy to drink. Good.

Ottima.
