Bottle. Pours a near black with a nice white frothy head. The taste is quite hoppy with a nice burnt malt. Thin and easy to drink. Good.

Ottima.

Tasted 8/13/07. 500ml swigtop bottle. Deep garnet hue with a filtered body. Skim layer of beige head. Cereal and toffee aromas. Sweet malts with a touch of coffee and dark chocolate. Medium bodied and smooth. Toffee bitterness touched with a mild hoppy finish. Mild burnt note. Crisp. Quality!

Swing-top bottle; pours a deep brown-black with red tones and a very bubbly light tan head. Aroma is sweet frsh malt along with some fruity and sour tones. Light to medium body with mild toasted malt and nut flavors. Finishes dry and clean with slight bitterness.

This beer has a dark brown yet it is transparent and there was a nice full head to it. it had a nice aroma of pea pods and walnuts and hints of hops. As you drink it there were flavors of nuts and toffee and mild coffee. The flavor did not last long on the palate. There was a very bitter finish to it.

Pours a dark brown colour with a small off white head. Aroma of nuts, sweet malts, earthy elements and peapods. Initial taste is creamy that enhances that dark malt. Nuts and minor hops begin to make their presence. Finishing with a bitter astrigent hops on the palate which then stops completely dry in its place waiting for you drink some more. Thin-medium body but very drinkable. Good head retention and some lacing of the glass.

Pours a very clear medium brown with a solid off-white head that retains and laces very well. The aroma is walnut, caramel malt, vegetable sweetness and toasted dark malts. The flavour is earthy malts, caramel, nuts, coffee and in the finish there is a bitterness that reminds me of lemon rine, but it’s not really citrusy. It is almost an astringent bitterness at the sides of the tongue that lingers for a while, and then comes to a hault. The mouthfeel is thin, yet creamy and very dry in the finish. This is a nice classic and pairs well with a lot of delicate foods.
