I thought this was maybe the best example of a schwarzbier I’ve tried. Plus it tasted very fresh on tap. Almost a more subdued version of a boch-- it had a nice sweet malty flavor. But nothing too strong-- very well balanced. I tried many beers that night-- and this one stood out. Kirill (264), Durham, North Carolina, USA

Beautiful black color with ruby tints when held to the light. Decent, off-white head. Slightly thin mouth feel. Flavors of sweet, roasted malts. Despite not having access to many, I really like this style of beer. I like this one. KnutAlbert (3217), Oslo, Norway

Lovely dark beer with some gold shing through. Firm head, smoky flavour, but a little thin. Some coffe, some roasted grain. A sutle, understated beer, easy-drinking, an exceleltn alternative to a pils. reakt (937), Greater London, England

Dark ruby red with a thick, dense off white head. Smells and tastes of cereal. Packed with damp wood, roasted malts and some spice. I’d never want a cereal that tasted like that! theisti (1689), Leawood, Kansas, USA

Chocolatey aroma with caramel. Dark and reddish, tan thick head. Sweet palate along with toffee-taste and roasted malty goodness. Nice. elmatador00 (518), j-action-ville, North Carolina, USA

Hints of malts, caramel, wood, and coffee. Finishes sweet with huge presence on the tongue. I also mixed it with coke, it was delicious.
