Deep dark brown colour. Not entirely black though. Smells like roasted malt and a bit chocolate. Not too bad, but I do not like this brew that much.

Bottle from Duane! Swing top poured a red/brown with a small tan head. Roasted malts and trace hops. Well, I was excited, but this did not live up to my expectations. Mouth feel was watery, and I tasted no hops. Not a great schwarz.

Dark brown. Creamy, off-white head. Big roasted malt nose with light hop undertones. All malt with dry hop finish. Easy drinking. Light/medium body. Good.

Pours a beautiful deep dark amber brown red with a nice amount of fluffy white head. Nice sweet brown sugar aroma aaccentuated by slight hoppy notes. Flavor smooth and malty with a slight nutty chocolatey taste and maybe even a bit of smokiness underneath. Finish is a slight bit bitter and dry, but also crisp and clean. Very well balanced beer that I enjoyed through its entirety.

Liquid pours a deep dark brown. LIquid is clear with a nice off white head. Nose is mild yet tangy with some pleasant hop/malt balance. Flavor is a melody of carmel and maybe a few floral notes. Texture is fluid. Finish is faint.

Ruby red with a solid rock head. Caramel, nutty aroma. Smooth character and nice flavors: roasty malt, hint of java, relaxed bitter finish. Awesome.

An awesome Schwarzbier... lots of caramel, Munich/Schwarzmalt character, deceptively smooth and drinkable.
