Good bitter hopping inthe finish. Seems a little flat in texture. More inoffensive than remarkable in any way. bierkoning (6077), La Tropica, Netherlands

Peppery with some licorice and cinnamon (also noticed by my wife when she took a sip). Light bitter aftertaste. Cornfield (4960), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 27, 2005 Draught: This poured slightly darker than a brown ale and was topped by a short-lived, off-white head. The aroma is a slightly smokey, lightly roasted malt with a hint of some spiciness. Medium-to-light bodied, it’s quite a sweet alt. There’s a bit of a roasted flavor to it, but mainly it’s a light, sweet bready malt with some herbal bitterness added to balance it out. Not bad.

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Oct 15, 2004 In the 0.5L bottle in Mannheim. The waitress did not want me to order a bottle of this. She worried that I would not like it.While I must say that the Hannen Alt tasted much better, this was not a terrible beer. Dark amber to light brown in color, cloudy in appearance. This had the requisite Alt malty aroma and sour flavor. This was pretty light in the body department, so less enjoyable for me. tiggmtl (4311), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 8, 2004 Mildly grainy, strong malt aroma. Clear burnished copper with a finger of off-white head that recedes to cover with light lace. Fairly bitter with a biscuity malt flavour to offset. Very short flavour profile. Dry finish. Light, lingering bitterness. Decent carbonation provides interest for the tongue, medium-light body. Bottle.
