Bottled at the brewpub. Clear golden with average head. Light caramelly malt aroma. Sweet with fairly bold malt character. Caramel is evident, hops are restrained. Salty bitterish finish. A bit overblown and not overly refreshing.

Dark golden with a nice, creamy head. The aroma has sweetness, malt, a touch of butter and fruit. The flavour has a light sweetness, notes of fruit, citrus, grass, malt and a little alcohol. It ends on a slightly dry, citrussy note.

Draft. A golden beer with a lazing cream colored head. The aroma is sweet with notes of dusty hops. The flavor is sweet malty and hoppy, with light notes of elderberries, and a light body.

(bottle) Clear, golden colour with a beautiful, dense foamy blond head. Sweet malty, slightly bready aroma with herbal, slightly woody hops. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied, smooth carbonation, well-matured mouthfeel. Slightly strawy malty and bready taste on a light herbal background; malty finish with residual sweetness, accompanied with a moderate, balancing bitter hoppy note. Well-done Märzen.

Bottle (purchased at the brewery): Deep golden coloured, small foamy layer; distinctive Tettnang hops in the nose, backed by a sweet-bready maltiness, solid bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied, soft MF; lingering, soft aromatic-hoppy and sweet-malty finish. A well balanced, tasty Märzen......... P.S. This brew is identical to the beer, that is served at the Annafest !
