(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of yespr. Clear amber colour with a creamy off-white head leaving laces. Clean and solidly malty nose. Good full and very malty body, a little caramel perhaps. Dry and hoppy finish. Falls somewhere in the borderland between a Heller and a Dunkler Bock. 050608

50 cL bottle, trade with Maria. Pours clear and golden orange with a lacing white head. Mild bitterhops aroma to a light alcohol note. Solid caramel malt flavour, medium sweet. Light bitterness and dryness into the finish. Ends with a light spice note and solid cornish.

Bottle at Löwenbräu Buttenheim. It’s a nice, dark amber with a nice, creamy head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel and sweetness. The flavour has sweetness and notes of caramel, roasted malt, syrup, hints of nuts and a dry citrus in the finish. It’s quite charming.

Bottled: Aroma of malt, butter, candy and some hops. Dark golden, low head. Full, malty flavor, medium sweet, candys, nuts, some alcohol and a well balanced hop note. Refreshing, pleasant bock.

On tap at Pig’s Ear BF 2007. Nice, warming, smooth malty beer. Dark gold. Well balanced, true to type.
