Steely (30), , Sweden Sep 28, 2008 Pale golden with a light head. Rich malty taste, hints of bread and caramel. Refreshing and easy to drink. Ljunkan (140), Karlstad, Sweden Sep 26, 2008 Nice golden color with a large foamy head.
The aroma is very average lager-like. Slightly of malt, but not much else to find there except some bread.
The taste is malty, clean, pretty sweet, slightly bready. It actually got a good "maltyness". The bitterness is there, but could be more prominent, but on the other hand that’s maybe not the intention of a oktoberfest beer.
The mouthfeel is okay. Carbonation isn’t that high, which is a plus.
Drinkability is good; you can drink this in large quantites if you like. Goes down easy. Sometimes it’s the right time for this kind of beers too.
Surprisingly good! One of the better oktoberfestbiers. The Etruscan (264), Tuscany, Italy Sep 20, 2008 White weak head. Golden colour. Aroma is malty, herbal with grainy and hoppy notes. Flavor is malty with bready and light alcohol tones, ending in a malty and metallic finish. Light to medium bodied. Quack-Duck (1829), Bodensee, Germany Sep 15, 2008 bottle. Clear pale golden yellow, large white head. Sweet and malty nose. Medium-bodied, quite malty with s shy fruity touch (banana) and some aromatic hops in the finish. Quite sweet and malty overall. Much better than expected.
