Aug 26, 2005 (Bottle 50 cl) Very dark with a warm, reddish glow. Almost opaque, The head is tall, creamy and beige in colour. Malty yet dry, but not sharp and ashy as sometimes in this style. Weak notes of licorice. The back label explains that the Lowenbräu Schwarzbier was long forgotten in the dark "Lange Zeit im Dunkeln verbogen, jetzt wieder entdeckt" but now refound.
