pivnizub (4181), Porúří, Germany Feb 23, 2007 Bottle: Deep golden coloured, small and stable off-white foam; barnyardy, honeyish and slightly alcoholic nose; sweetish flavour, medium bodied; mild, but a bit brandy-like, alcoholic finish mixed with sweet-malt and hops. O.K., not overwhelming......... MoritzF (4046), Ruhrpott, Germany Feb 22, 2007 (bottle) Clear, deep golden to light-amber colour with a slightly off-white foamy white head of medium size. Dusty, medium-sweet malty aroma with a touch of honey and that distinctive pig-sty character of the Vestenberg brews, accompanied with herbal hops. Sweet flavour, medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel. Chewy malt character with present alcohol from the beginning, although the abv is not that high. Sweet malty, slightly bitter finish with a faint hoppy touch and rather strong alcoholic notes. Not perfectly balanced but at least warming brew with rural character.
