bierkoning (5128), La Tropica, Netherlands Jun 30, 2007 A friendly elderly lady tended bar at this old fashioned Franconian brewpub and got me a bottle of this beer. Blonde, hazy. Malty, buttery aroma. Barnyard smell. Malty, but also a firm hopbitter flavor, in which the rural character is clearly noticed. Butter, even a hint of diacetyl. Very interesting lager: how long before this relic of old times fades away? pivnizub (4181), Porúří, Germany Feb 24, 2007 Bottle: Honeyish, barnyardy nose with a sweet-malty background; slightly hazy, floaties visible, golden coloured, small white head; solid sweet-bitter flavour, light bodied; sweet-rural-bitter finish. A decent brew, the archetypal Brotzeit drink.............
