CASK: A dark amber ale with a thin off white head. A pleasant herbal hops aroma, light caramel and tangerine notes. In mouth, a light bitter ale with floral British hops, sustained, a bit too light. Served at room temperature. Tasted at St-Bock, 31-10-08.

on tap at La Sainte Bock in montreal, labeled in the bar as Bitter Cask. Looks like a cask ale, nice frothy bubbly head, and served at the perfect temperature. Wicked nose of english hops, lots of goldings, and fuggles. Flavour is intesnsely hoppy, butrnot over powering, just a great flavour, with a nice malt in there to balance thing. Excellent bitter.

Bitter is a good name for this beer. It goes for the taste and the bitterness or the disappointment. I tasted some sweet taste of caramel but also some spicy taste. Not to my liking.

wow, this one is bad. Sweet malty vegital yeasty low bitter flavour packed into a cloudy deep red sludg. Light fruity hint, some earthness, grassy ness and burnt shugar, followed by a dry coton like finish. Not a choice for my future, I asure you

Sample from 500 ml bottle at the Mondial. Hazy dull copper with a bit of beige head...vegetal, slightly sweet nose offers a hint of pepper for not enough interest...body mostly dry after some nice light fruitiness early on, small hints of caramelized malt, bit of pepper and scratchy grass...somewhat astringent, cottony-dry finish.

Doughy, caramel, toffee aroma is somewhat metallic. Hazy, burnished copper coloured body is topped by a low tan head that recedes rapidly to ring. Fairly bitter with grassy, orange-citrus hop flavours. Underlying caramel malts are apparent. Medium-light body with fair carbonation though somewhat slick and coating on the teeth. Bottle sampled at Mondial de la Bière 2005.
