On tap at Le-Saint Bock. Engine oil black with a long lasting brown head. Big chocolate aroma with hints of coffe and toffee. Dry, very dry. Could use a bit more malt character. Thinner than I thought it would be. Taste of bitter chocolate. Slightly acidic to the tongue. Dissapointing.

On tap Le Saint Bock, Montreal. Black with a creamy tan head generating decent lace. Aromas of biiter chocolate, coffee, and an earthy/minerally element. Rich roasted malt palate with equal parts chocolate and coffee. Dry finish. Thin mouthfeel. For something called "double chocolate", I expected a little more I guess.

Sampled on tap at Vices & Versa. The pour reveals a pitch black color with a thick cremay beige head. Mild aroma of coacoa. The flavor has chocolate and coffe but it feels mild. The body is light to medium with a creamy and dry mouthfeel and gentle carbonation. It’s not bad but it gets boring after a while.

(Rating #836)
