Commercial Description:
Silky black colour that floods your senses. The aromas of roasted grains underlines a strong alcoholic smell. The tastebuds are submerged in flavours, initially hot alcohol, followed by malts and finally hoppy bitterness. The combination of flavours lasts and lasts.

A pitch black beer with a fast disappearing dark brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with strong notes of chocolate. The flavor is sweet with strong roasted notes, which also gives it a bit of acidity. The flavor also contains notes of coffee and bitter desert chocolate.

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours completely black and opaque with a small, off-white head. Vinous, slightly tart aroma of roasted malt. Medium body with tart, malty notes. Some dried fruits - raisins in particular. Light malt bitter finish. 290806

Bottled. Very black. Coffee and molasses in th nose. Rich and tarry, but also sweet and raw. Notes of metal and blood. Mellow mouthfeel, decent bitterness.

Dark brown colour. Roasted aroma. Body is a little thin, especially for style. Malt and roast form the bulk of the flavours. Slightly sour. It’s not that the screwed up imperial stout, but they’ve certainly made one of the least inspiring versions I’ve ever found. Simple, boring, uninspired.

(500ml bottle, bottled 4/05) Big brown head atop a motor oil body. Aroma is moderately sweet, roasty, coffee, light plum. Taste is medium sweet, sour cherry, chocolate, some coffee. The fairly strong sourness seems out of place -- this has to be infected. Medium body that is too thin.
