Tastes of raisins, cherry, spice, and alcohol. Has a strong horse blanket/ barnyard flavor of earthiness with an alcoholic finish. Pretty good because I like the style, but not nearly among the best. gyllenbock (247), Stockholm, Sweden

Dried fruit, caramel and some cola in the aroma. The taste was fruity with some caramel sweetness. Drinkable but I did feel some alcohol in the taste. BeerChaser0078 (324), Melbourne, Australia
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 18, 2009 Bottle. Pours dark coppery brown with an off-white head that lasts for a short while. Nose has aromas of toffee, dark fruits, cola and grapes. Flavour is similar and slightly vinous, but not overly sweet: raisins, dates, caramel, cola, molasses and berries stand out. Medium body with a little sweetness up front and a slightly tart bitterness on the finish. A little thin but overall this is quite a good beer, alcohol very well hidden, and very easy to drink. thejon375 (392), Tampa, Florida, USA
