Touch of apple and some tropical fruits- pineapple, strawberry. Heavy dark opaque beer with a big frothy brown head. Nice malt profile, lots of fruit in the finish. Some alcohol, a touch of wood. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 20, 2007 330 mL bottle. Dark, translucent ruby-brown. The large head fades quickly, but not completely. Nice lacing. The aroma is milder than expected. It is sweet, with hints of malt, fresh, sweet fruit, and maybe some vegetables(!?). Actually not all that impressed by the taste; I was expecting more complexity. It begins sweetly, and ends with some bitterness. Some brown sugar, some candied fruit. Alcohol is there, but not a distraction. Heavily carbonated. Preferred their Red. scanovajr (361), Stanford, California, USA

Pours a hazy brownish red with a very generous tan head. Smells sweet and floral with a bit of yeast. The taste is very fruity and sweet, with a nice aftertaste blending into dry malt and hops.. The carbonation plays nicely off the tongue as well. Very nice beer, I REALLY wish i could get this year round. faroeviking (6122), BjórtjóđveldiđBjórheimBjórsins, Faroe Islands
