Commercial Description:
energetic and full-bodied taste with sweetish pronounced tone, brown copper color and with a creamy foam of beige tonality, bouquet harmonious and elegant. Category "Belgian Strong Dark Ale", style "brown ale", this beer is produced with the method of the triple fermentation, means that it has three doses of malt more than the quantity used for other beers, added in three different phases of workmanship, like the last phase where the malt is directly put in the bottle or the keg.

Bottle from Ledgers Liquors. Aromas of dark fruit and yeasty spice. Opaque color, but beautiful mahogany in strong halogen light. Beige head that laces. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, smooth, sweet dark fruits, and light bitter. The finish is sweet, but after the malt leaves there is decent bitter. Possibly a bit of vanilla. The alcohol seems to stay in the background. Damn tasty.

Bottle from Whole Foods. Very dark brownish purple color. Sizable head. Aroma is of roasted maltiness along with dark fruit. Sweet up front with a spicy earthy quality. Alcohol is barely noticable. Not bad.

Draught at the brewery. Beer is clear, very dark brown with an average-sized, small, off-white, mostly diminishing head.
Malty with light notes of toasted grain, caramel, biscuit; Light herbal hop, lemon zest; Light/moderate basement, trace of soap; Miscellany include moderate vinous sour cherry (FSA-like), light peachy note.
The flavor is moderately sweet, light/moderately acidic/sour/juicy, lightly bitter with a long, light/moderately bitter, lightly acidic, lightly sweet, warm finish.
The body is medium, the texture is velvety and the carbonation is lively.
Nice to have experienced, but not moving.

Bottled, Dark rubyish brown colour with huge beige creamy head. Aroma is dry dark fruit, some sourness and some slight yeast and alcohol. Flavour is raisins, metal, caramel and some bittering hops. Flavour hides the alcohol well. Not very exciting, I liked the blonde (golden) one way better.

Murky, dark brown with a nice, creamy head. The aroma is rather neutral with light notes of malt. The flavour is sweetish with light citrussy notes as counterweight, but I also find notes of raisin, candy sugar and caramel. 2294

Draught, Toronado. Head is mostly diminishing. Body is dark orange-brown. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain, caramel), with notes of cherry and cinnamon. Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively/soft carbonation, lightly alcoholic. Pretty forgettable; not much going on in the nose and a ho-hum mouth experience.

Great full thick lingering creamy beige head. Malt and dark caramel aroma. Deep, rich reddish brown color. First taste: carbonation too harsh and slight sour note. Tried to warm up in my hands to release carbonation and amplify tastes. More of the sweetness comes up front, with a dry finish. Nice, drinkable, my kind of beer.

Bottled. Very malty aroma with prune and raisin. Thick, brown color, beige head, good lace. Sweet, bitter, prune, raisin, apple, hint of cherry. Syrupy, very full, warming and alcoholic. Nice complexity but hard to drink because ot the alcohol presence.
