Commercial Description:
energetic and full-bodied taste with sweetish pronounced tone, brown copper color and with a creamy foam of beige tonality, bouquet harmonious and elegant. Category "Belgian Strong Dark Ale", style "brown ale", this beer is produced with the method of the triple fermentation, means that it has three doses of malt more than the quantity used for other beers, added in three different phases of workmanship, like the last phase where the malt is directly put in the bottle or the keg.

12 oz bottle. Pours a cloudy dark brown colored body under a two finger fizzy and foamy beige head that left some light lacing. Aroma is very fruity with lots of chewy dark malt, yeast, and moderate alcohol. Raisons, brown sugar, candi sugar, and plum notes. Flavor is heavy on the dark fruits and brown sugar with a yeasty alcoholic finish. Alot more depth and character than I expected. Mouthfeel is very sticky and cloying with lots of risidual sugars. Typical belgian fizzy foamy carbonation feel to it. Overall, this was pretty good, and a nice surprise. This could almost pass for a Quad, albeit on the lighter side.

Bottle. Dark brown copper with a huge foamy beige head. Aroma is sweet, with dark fruits, malts, yeast, alcohol and caramel. Taste is similar to the aroma but too sweet, quite unbalanced .Medium body.

A very lively looking beer. Lots of carbonation. A sweet aroma, a bit of cinnamon evident. Aroma wasn’t misleading as this is a fairly sweet beer. Malty with a strong alcohol finish.

Pours muddy brown with a fizzy yet staying and creamy beige head. Aroma has lots of berrylike tones - sour grapes come to mind. Quite high carbonated. Flavour begins sweet and malty, with some caramel tones. Then it turns vinious but stays sweet. Lastly it gets slightly bitter with a lemony sourness.

12 OZ bottle via Liquid Solutions.Pours a clear dark brown with a large beige head.Nose is nutty with some toffee and strawberries. Taste is sweet, nutty, with some fruit...perhaps plums and strawberries. Some alcohol is present in the finish. High carbonation. Medium body. This is a quality beer.

Botlle.LCBO Aroma concentrated on brown sugar, molases, lightn hint of orange peel and milk chocolate. This ale poured huge pillowy tanned head, sparce lace. Medium bodied with shallow yet somwehat complex character. Sweet front , shoert bitterness, carbonation sparkled with citrus vodka. All sound better than it is. Good thing is that alcohol is very well covered.

Beautifull tanned head, dark brown poor... Aromas of cinnamon, alcohol, brown sugar, black cherries... flavors are of black cherries a little nutty on a somewhat alcohol, bitter aftertaste... somewhat floral to the aromas again...and a touch of vanilla, not bad!
