Commercial Description:
energetic and full-bodied taste with sweetish pronounced tone, brown copper color and with a creamy foam of beige tonality, bouquet harmonious and elegant. Category "Belgian Strong Dark Ale", style "brown ale", this beer is produced with the method of the triple fermentation, means that it has three doses of malt more than the quantity used for other beers, added in three different phases of workmanship, like the last phase where the malt is directly put in the bottle or the keg.

Bottle, 9%. Yeasty aroma, rough maltiness. Cloudy dark brown colour. Very big unstable light brown head. The flavour is also quite yeasty. There is also a lot of maltiness, some fruitiness. But not clean at all. Drinkable, but not so good.

Pours a beige, fuzzy head and pours a cola brown body with ruby highlights. Smells of yeast, clove, fruit, and dark sugar. Flavor is toast, burnt sugar, sour and bitter like an orange rind. Interesting brew.

dark and nice colour with a decent head. Actually very sour never think about it when i buy it. It quite reminds me of Rodenbach but even sourer this beer. Different beer.

With thanks to Jerc & Mabel: Appearance: Dark brown/red with a large tan head, aroma: Lots of malt, caramel, some strawberry(?) , some metal and bran with yeast also. Flavour: Caramel, yeast, alcohol, dark fruit with earth and bitterness in the finish. Not bad.

Pours brown with a thick foamy tan head. Sour tart and cherry aroma. Sweet floral taste with some alcohol warming the nose. Sort of thin like tea and sticky.

33cl bottle from Dranken Geers. Clear deep ruby/brown, thickish rocky beige head. Decent darkish beer aroma with some decent malts. It’s not too sweet and the aroma is pretty good and I do like the slightly burnt brown sugar malts. Fine

[2046-20090320] 330mL bottle. Sweet caramel aroma has an underlying sweet malt. Hazy, dark brown red body with a big foamy off-white head. Sweet grainy fruit flavour has alcohol throughout. Medium body. Fair.

Bottle. A hazy deep red beer with a huge and enough persistent, creamy beige head. The aroma has some maltiness with notes of caramel, cherry, alcohol and some spices. The flavour has a certain amount of sweetness and acidity, the last probably excessive at the first sips. Again fruity (cherry). Not enough balanced. Medium body, lively carbonation, quite long finish with almost medium bitterness, some alcohol is felt. Decent, though not exciting.
