Nice and rich aroma: strong chocolate, sweetness, fruits, mild toffee and alcohol. Full bodied. Very strong chocolate, mild toffee and sweetness, medium alcohol in flavor. Long and sweet, very strong aftertaste. Some spices in flavor too. omhper (12218), Stockholm, Sweden
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Aug 26, 2005 Bottled. Cloudy ruby. Aroma of toffeish malt with some berry-like acidity. Sweet and solidly malty with rounded mouthfeel. The peppery alcohol adds some complexity, but it fails to impress. argo0 (6907), Washington DC, USA

| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Aug 15, 2005 Bottled: Dark amber coloured. Unclear. Light brown head. Sweet, spiced and alcoholdense nose. Flavour is light fruity and sour, again with distinct alcoholnotes. Seems quite unbalanced and onedimensional. Ends on a sour light fruity note. Bland and uninteresting Mads Langtved (2246), Copenhagen K, Denmark
| 1.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Aug 14, 2005 This is not a good belgian beer. Strong and alcoholic. Not much balance in this. Cloying finish. Yeast in aroma and flavour. NYHarvey (2154), New York, New York, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 5, 2005 Strong spicy aroma. Cologne, clove and spun sugar. She’s a looker. If Belgian Ales were women they’d be the last 20 years of Playboy covergirls. This one is also pretty. Dark brown with massive fluffy mocha head. Spice, pear, malt, apple maybe a a little cinnamon and navy rum. A lot of flavors going on here. Not expretly balanced, but still a great beer I’d drink again. vanvenlo (794), Glen Iris, Australia

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Jul 13, 2005 Pours with a massive head of mostly large bubbles and seems super carbonated by the looks of it. Clear and ruby red in color. Has a sugary aroma, lightly spicy and some yeast present. Body is very crisp and medium palate. Flavor is sweet and malty with some fruit flavors. A bit overcarbonated for my liking.
