Commercial Description:
energetic and full-bodied taste with sweetish pronounced tone, brown copper color and with a creamy foam of beige tonality, bouquet harmonious and elegant. Category "Belgian Strong Dark Ale", style "brown ale", this beer is produced with the method of the triple fermentation, means that it has three doses of malt more than the quantity used for other beers, added in three different phases of workmanship, like the last phase where the malt is directly put in the bottle or the keg.

Bottle. Pours a dark opaque mahogany with a creamy frothy head. Aroma of sour cherries, coriander and currant. A bit of a sour taste which was overwhelmed by the carbonation.

330 ml, 07 vintage. Slightly hazy chestnut with a large head that mostly lasts and leaves some spotty, sticky lace. Aroma is cola, rum, and nutmeg. Flavor is tart, slightly metallic cherry, and alcohol. Some slight dark fruit and brown sugar leave a nice woody aftertaste that’s about the best thing going for this beer. Near-medium body is astringent, dry and frothy. Seems more like a lambic yeast was used here, or maybe there once was a quality beer contained within that got infected. May have to try another sample and rerate.

33cl bottle @ Fish&Beer, Copenhagen. Pours dark brown with a large brown foam. Aroma is sweet & strong (concentrated) on yeast, dark fruits, caramel & sugar. Good & solid mouthfeel. Slight metallic notes. Not much flavor (yeast, nuts & alcohol) - wanted to taste a complex strong ale but something, perhaps the alcohol is overpowering everything else in this Belgium strong ale!

Color: Dark brown with ruby glints and a foamy brown head. Nose: Big chewy malt. Musty and stinky with yeast. Horseblanket. Palate: Malty notes. Caramel. Red currants. Touch of old citrus on the finish. Well-balanced.
