Commercial Description:
A honey beer that never lets you forget the fact. Although there is only a slight trace of it in the nose the intensity of the honey in the palate may be a bit much for some people. This is an accomplished beer that oozes quality yet retains a small brewery taste. Also sold as Berenbier in Flanders.

Bottle: Poured hazy golden amber with thick white head. Sweet honey aroma. The flavor was yeast and doughy with hints of honey. Diffrent at best.

Aroma is cornbread, hay and quite a bit of yeast. Taste is again similar, no trace of honey, again corn which seems out of place by quite a bit.

Bottle at Six Acres - Light gold with a small head and no lacing. Yeasty nose. Bready and warm with lemon citrus. Doughy and yeast in the flavors with citrus. Some wheat. A bit dry with notes of bananas. Cloudy and dry palate finishes with some fruitiness.

Before all I have to say that I have never liked honey. Cloudy golden colour, with a white compact head. The aroma is good, of course on the sweet side with notes of malt and honey. The flavor is sweet , too sweet for my tastes and spicy. The afterstaste is quite long and honeysh. Very filling. The body is good. Considering my taste this beer has been a good surprise. Also if it’s not exceptional but enjoyable.

Bottled. Yellow coloured. Dense. Off white dense head. Sweet, citric and light spiced aroma. Flavour is light fruity and citric. Alcohol is notable. Surprisingly thin bodied. Alcoholdense and sticky end.

Bottle: Poured a hazy deep gold with a small white head. Aroma was sweet and malty with light honey notes, leafy, yeasty. Zingy carbonated mouthfeel. Flavour is fairly pedestrian malty. Light honey and alcohol sweetness in the body with a stickiness on the lips and in the cheeks. Some lingering bitterness in the finish.

Cloudy dark golden yellow with a thickly compact head. Perfumy yeast aromas. Sticky sweet palate with yeast and alcohol as added notes-- not really my thing unfortunately.

(33cl bottle) Purchased at the BC Liquor Store on Cambie in Vancouver for $2.95. Pours a large, almond-coloured head containing a peppering of yeast-flakes and an amber orange body. Nose of soggy cardboard and strong malt tones. Flavour is fairly alcoholic - with a tongue of plums, passion fruit mixed with dark caramel and hazelnut malts. Above average.
