Commercial Description:
Available with two labels - Blonde in Wallonia and Fakir in Flanders and Canada. Though it is also relabelled as La Molagnarde Blonde. This is a particularly good blonde beer with lots of strong, clean citric hop character throughout. The orange peel that is included amongst the ingredients tends to only come through in the nose. We find this beer is great when served straight from the fridge as a little of the freshness is lost as it warms up.

This is a wonderful atisanal blonde with great character and complexity of flavors. One of the better Belgian blondes I’ve had. Could have had a little more flavor, but still good.

Bottle. Wierd cork retainer wedged the cork in so tight, I had to use a cork screw to get it out. Then the large cork broke the corkscrew. Beware. Light amber with a sligh haze. Good strong head, with a lemon aroma. Tart and medium in body with a lingering tangy orange and lemon taste. Very refreshing.

Pours a hazy pale yellow color with a initial big white, sea foam head. Aroma of cobweb yeast, slight lemon citrus, and spicy clove nose. Mouth feel bubbly, strong carbonation with a watery palate. Flavor of fresh bready citrus yeast, light acidity, and mild bitterness. Finish is clovey and bitter. Kind of a boring Belgian blonde. It major lacking is in the mouth feel. Does not keep me interested.

Cloudy yellow hue, with a frothy white head, with a spicy, yeasty, and candied citrus fruits fruitiness, and a strange medicinal or plaster note, in the aroma fiollows through on a medium-bodied palate, with a yeasty, zesty fruitiness of pineapple, grapefruit, oranges, and lemons, hint of floral hops, leading towards an acidic citrus fruits and faintly floral hop bitterness.

750mL bottle, cork says lot 140858. Pours a cloudy light golden with a large, fluffy white head in a tulip glass. Aroma of lemons, pear, Belgian yeast, a little mustiness and some spices. Taste follows the aroma with some bitterness, and finishes fairly dry. Carbonation is fairly sharp on the tongue. Was a little wary of getting this blonde, but was pleasantly surprised--more complex than a lot of blondes that I’ve had.

Bottle. White and lasting head. Yellow unclear body. Sweet aroma with hints of lemon. Sweet flavor with a good hops aftertaste, quite a good deal of carbonation.
