Commercial Description:
Available with two labels - Blonde in Wallonia and Fakir in Flanders and Canada. Though it is also relabelled as La Molagnarde Blonde. This is a particularly good blonde beer with lots of strong, clean citric hop character throughout. The orange peel that is included amongst the ingredients tends to only come through in the nose. We find this beer is great when served straight from the fridge as a little of the freshness is lost as it warms up.

Dense, rocky, white head of large and small bubbles. Aroma is loaded with orange peel. Sweeteness persists throught the aroma with nice earthy qualities as well. Highly orange-acidic spiciness on the palate. Body is medium and almost fluffy from the high co2 level. Big spice at mid palate adds a crispness and drinkability. More yeast actually flattens the body by reducing the spritzy character.

(Bottle 33 cl) Hazy golden with a nice fluffy head. Fresh and fruity - almost perfumy - nose. Sweet malt and again almost perfumy flavours - there’s gotta be a shipload of coriander in here. But pefectly balanced by some hops in the finish. A great summers beer. 030398

Nice light golden color with a considerable foam head poured out with it. Aroma is a murky blend of malt, sweetness and spice. Flavor is heavy of lemon and light on yeast. Medium carbonation in the mouthfeel. A tastey bellgian ale, but not an amazing one.

(750ml bottle) Pours a cloudy maize body with a large frothy white head. Aroma of perfume, citrus, and mustiness. Flavor of spicy yeast, citrus, banana, and a hint of soap. Creamy mouthfeel.

Bottle... Hazy, golden ale with a huge, frothy, white head. Great retention. Yeasty aroma of banana bread and mild coriander. Sweet toffee flavor with pear and apple. Decently balanced with adequate hops. Light-bodied and dry with fizzy carbonation. Lightly tangy, dry finish. Thin, overall. Unspectacular, but not offensive.

This is a citrus, yeasty beer that a lighter (in color) beer drinker will enjoy. The pour is opaque, slightly amber yellow. There is a light white head that lasts quite a while and laces your glass. The taste is sweet and citrus. There is coriander spice and a dry, bitter finish. Good use of hops to compliment the citrus ingredients.
