Commercial Description:
Available with two labels - Blonde in Wallonia and Fakir in Flanders and Canada. Though it is also relabelled as La Molagnarde Blonde. This is a particularly good blonde beer with lots of strong, clean citric hop character throughout. The orange peel that is included amongst the ingredients tends to only come through in the nose. We find this beer is great when served straight from the fridge as a little of the freshness is lost as it warms up.

A slightly beefed up wit, really, I don’t understand why its not classed as such. Floral aroma. Cloudy pale yellow. Flavour is dry, citrus-corriander, yeasty. A subdued beer.

Big strong floral aroma. Lots of coriander in this. Full bodied with a citric and hoppy character with noticeable honey and coriander, with a nice crisp yeasty finish. A good beer.

Aroma of citrus, yeast and nice spices. i guess this is coriander. Never knew how coriander smelled so lately I bought myself some coriander. hazy, yellow coloured with a lasting head. taste is fruity (citrus), some malt, yeast. Quite dry. Decent brew.

330 ml bottle. Best before 09/2005. Cloudy pale golden yellow beer with a thick fluffy white head that fades back to a small ring of foam. Citrusy nose, lemon and orange, light candi sugar, some apple/pear fruitiness. Body is surprisingly light, citrus, fruit, low bitterness. Lightly spicy (coriander) and dry finish. Very refreshing, considering it’s 6.5%

Golden color with some suspended particulate making it a bit hazy. Very nice sweet malty yeasty aroma. Flavour is yeasty fruity and a bit dry.

Bottle at Belgianbeerweekend, Brussels Muddy, white body. Fair lace. Citrus/flowers in the nose. Lively carbonation. Moderately bitter initial flavour and finish. The finish is long.

Pours a relatively clear, gold color, it is topped by a fluffy off-white head that is held up and generated by a substantial carbonation. As I pour this beer I get strong notes of citrusy lemon. As I go in for a deeper smell I get earthy herbal notes as well. It has a really nice aroma that is a joy to smell. The taste is lightly sweet and just carbonated enough that it is hard to pick up the flavors because the beer wants to boil as it hits my mouth. The lemon character is also in the taste, added to this is a bit of bitter astringency in the finish which balances out the citrus fruit notes and the sweetness that is up front.

A fairly simple straight forward beer, but quite enjoyable. There are hints of spice notes, perhaps some coriander, ginger, and pepper. This beer seems to fade pretty quickly though. The flavor loses its clarity and becomes muddled over time. In the end this is nice, fairly light, and easily drinkable.

Pale orange, (cold) haze; fluffy, yellowish head. Vanilla, soft caramel toffees at first, then citrus comes up, very outspoken for a moment, than faint touch of coriander - and peanut butter. Dry, leafy taste, faint citrus. Candi sugar, probably, and again faint coriander. A bit timid brew, really. Citrussy-refreshing, but not very much. Light, but nothing too light. A bit of everything, and nothing in excess. Certainly not enthusiasm.
