Commercial Description:
Available with two labels - Blonde in Wallonia and Fakir in Flanders and Canada. Though it is also relabelled as La Molagnarde Blonde. This is a particularly good blonde beer with lots of strong, clean citric hop character throughout. The orange peel that is included amongst the ingredients tends to only come through in the nose. We find this beer is great when served straight from the fridge as a little of the freshness is lost as it warms up.

Very nice aroma. It has a full aroma, with spice, citrus, and some yeasty aromas, the doughy aroma. It’s appearance is a hazy deep yellow color. With a nice head and great lacing. It’s flavor is a full compliment of yeast qualities, with citrus (orange peel), coriander, and allspice. It’s rather easy to drink. Very good.

From bottle at Creperie Bretonne, Louvain-la-Neuve. Hazy, deep golden colour with a healthy off-white head. Complex spicy nose with coriander (of course) and cinnamon? Spicy rye bread flavours, hints of ginger. Well-balanced. Medium body, well-carbonated. A respectable blond.

Hazy and light golden in color with aromas of spicy sweet caramel. In the mouth it was medium-bodied, sweet, dry and simple. Balanced and nice but leaves me wanting for something...I’m not sure what but just a void of something.

The pour reveals a cloudy golden color with a thick white head. The aroma has citrus, some sweetness and yeast. Average flavor of citrus, yeast and sweetness. The body is light to medium with a creamy texture and moderate carbonation.

Bottle @ home.
Light unclear medium yellow orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, citrus, fruity, moderate yeasty. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. (Bitternes is citrus - lime shell bitter). Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (120508)

Bottle: Poured a deep cloudy golden color ale with a huge pure white foamy head with good retention and good lacing. Aroma consists of medium sweet typical Belgian malt (not that this is a bad thing) with some interesting floral notes. Taste is also dominated by some medium sweet malt with some notes floral and a lightly spice and great refreshing yeast strain. Body is quite full with some great carbonation and no discernable alcohol. Not extremely complex but really well done and refreshing for the style.
